Two English teachers visited our school on the afternoon of March 23, 2006, which will bridge the gap of the face-to-face research of teaching in specific subjects between our school and western ones. During their stay in our school, the two experts showed great interest in our art education and thought highly of it. Further co-operation and research work remain to be reached.
R:welcome to our school! We’re reporters of the Students’ Union. We’d like to have a talk with you.
E:Thank you! It’s OK.
R:What do you think of our hometown?
E:I think it’s very beautiful and it’s very great, because my hometown is very small.
R:How about our school?
E:Very good. And the school is of a graceful color and ancient architecture style.
R:Yes. It’s because our school has a long history of about 200 years. Excuse me, what are the differences between the courses in China and those in England?
E:Er…… In England, in Grade one, Students study four subjects for the first year. For the second year, they will study 8 other subjects.
R:How many of the students in your school enter the university or college each year?
E:About 80%. But lots of them don’t study in the university when they graduate from senior schools. Those who want to enter the college are faling the as chinese students do.

R:Which art do you like best?
E:I like Chinese calligraphy most. And I have tried it, But I didn’t do it very well.
R:What do you think of us Chinese students?
E:Oh, I think Chinese students are hardworking. By the way, what do you want to be when you grow up?
R:Er……We want to be interpreters.
E:That sounds good.
R:What do you think of the Olympic Games of 2008 in Beijing?
E:I think it’s very great, and I hope it will be a great success.
R:thank you. Will you go to Beijing in 2008?
E:We’d like to, but we’re afraid we can’t, because it’s far away from England.
R:I’m sorry to hear that, but we hope you will. We really enjoyed talking with you. Thank you very much! And welcome to our school again!
E:Thank you. I hope so!
R:Good-bye!
